In recent years, most aluminum packaging cap producers have gradually adopted recycled aluminum to meet global environmental standards and control raw material expenses. From our years of on-site equipment debugging and production service experience, recycled aluminum is far less stable than virgin aluminum in thread rolling processing, a detail many manufacturers tend to overlook.
Different batches of recycled aluminum come with scattered microscopic impurities and inconsistent internal density, this leads to 10-15% uneven hardness across materials, running standard fixed-pressure rolling parameters directly on such materials easily leaves fine scratches, tiny pits and micro cracks on thread surfaces. We have recorded in client mass production cases that these subtle flaws usually push product defect rates up by nearly 8%, which quietly affects the sealing and assembly stability of finished aluminum caps.

Based on our long-term processing trials for aluminum cap and anti-theft cap production, we developed a targeted adaptive thread rolling solution for recycled aluminum, instead of using rigid unified pressure, we reduce instantaneous rolling pressure by around 12% and match flexible feeding speed and die clearance.
This minor but targeted adjustment fits the soft and impure characteristics of recycled aluminum well. It effectively avoids thread damage without compromising thread firmness, helping manufacturers steadily produce qualified threaded aluminum caps while using cost-effective recycled aluminum materials.
