From our years of on-site debugging for metal cap production lines, we've found one easily ignored quality issue: subtle timing belt wear often leads to unstable thread processing on aluminum caps and anti-theft caps.

Most production belts work steadily at the initial stage. But after 800 to 1000 hours of continuous running, belt tooth surfaces will slowly wear out and lose proper tension. Unlike obvious machine faults, this change is very subtle. It only causes occasional micro-slippage during high-speed operation, making the threading roller jitter momentarily.

These brief jitters leave tiny, uneven ripples on thread surfaces. We've tracked mass production data and found this invisible flaw may lower thread fitting smoothness by 12–18%. The problem does not appear in every product, so it's hard to spot in routine inspections. Yet it will slowly increase defective rates and cause inconsistent assembly experience for end products.

Many manufacturers only replace belts after obvious damage, which is the main cause of irregular batch quality. Based on our on-site experience, we added wear reminder functions to our cap processing equipment.

This simple but practical design reminds workers to check and replace aging belts regularly. It effectively reduces random thread jitter defects brought by transmission aging, keeping long-term production quality more stable for metal packaging cap processing.
